Under the Table

“Bonjour.”

“Ca va.”

Jean-Luc waved his way through the open plan office on his way to the meeting room. He loved the meeting rooms at the office. Sure, they were OK for meetings or calls, but it was the frosted glass that provided all the entertainment.

On the glass that separated each room, the frosted part ran from waist height to the ceiling so that you could not see the faces and upper half of all of the people sitting in there. But the lower portion was clear, exposing ankles, legs and, best of all, the shapely posteriors that occupied the chairs around the table.

Jean-Luc was indeed a closet pervert. As he sat down in the tiny phone room alongside, he slid down into one of the comfortable chairs as he loved to do and took a long look at the assembled talent. This kept his mind alert when he was on calls, and, besides, it wasn’t as if he could see their faces. He would play a game where he tried to imagine what the top half looked like and what sort of person they were. – Shy perhaps? Maybe sultry? Or even bold and forthright? – Frankly, that was a little boring and obvious. What he really enjoyed were the office nerds who were completely unaware of their own sexuality and just wore a pair of boring jeans that became tight in random places. He would leave his little room when the meeting departed and sneak round to see if he was right.

Suddenly some activity caught his eye. A hand belonging to a different body was caressing the inside of the thigh of another participant. What? Surely the meeting was still going on?

He watched the hand as it moved around and the recipient moved with it.

He was transfixed.

Suddenly, he heard the unmistakable sound of the meeting coming to an end. He simply must find out who they were.

He opened the door and rushed around, but no! Damn!

The meeting room was empty. He turned around slowly in disappointment only to find that they were all gathered in front of him.

“Hello, Jean-Luc, how did you enjoy our little show? – Happy Birthday!”

“I think you need to be careful in offices with open plans.”

“These days,” said George, “I think you’ve got to be jolly careful in the office full stop.”

Giorgio looked amused.

“Why? Do you have personal experience?”

“Absolutely not, dear boy. My conscience is clean.” “Well, that’s about the only part of you that is.”
