MagickGate – Home of the Naughty Story Series
MagickGate is a product of Leopard Publishing Ventures, the brainchild of Sedley Proctor and Tony Henderson. As well as writing under their own names, Sedley and Tony write the Naughty Stories Series under the name M T Sands. Sedley and Tony also help other writers realise their projects, particularly in the areas of fiction, short fiction, business and smart thinking. Their ultimate goal is to help writers profit from their writing in what commentators call the “Third Age of the Internet”. Read more about this “call to arms” in our blog.
Tony was fortunate enough to work alongside the founders of Axate during its early days, and he could see that the ‘pay-as-you-read’ approach had the potential to be industry changing. All the stories that we have written over the last 6 years are available on MagickGate, the first time that they have all been published in the same place.
Many of the stories are written on our own short form template. Aside from the discipline this brings, the goal of these stories is to provide the reader with a fun, alternative and engaging story which they could easily read between stops on a bus, a train or the London tube. Thanks to Sedley’s long experience of teaching English as a foreign language, we have also worked hard to make the stories approachable and readable for readers whose first tongue is not English.
About the Team
Tony Henderson
I worked in the digital media space for over 30 years in commercial and engineering roles including stints at Microsoft, the BBC and the Music Industry. I recognised the challenges with online media business and in 2016 and 2017, worked with Dominic Young and the team at Axate to develop the original concept of the Axate wallet. I also established Leopard Publishing Ventures Ltd in 2013 and have authored, co-authored and published over 15 books with writing partner Sedley Proctor.
Sedley Proctor
I lived in Italy for 20 years where I worked as a teacher and translator. Besides co-authoring the M T Sands series of books, I also write under my own name and put together the images you see on MagickGate. Writing has always been a part of my life, but I see MagickGate as an opportunity – not just for me, but for other writers and readers as well. I don’t think there is anything quite like it out there – a new way of connecting with stories and story-telling.
Badger, The
Nocturnal by nature, The Badger has been burrowing around the web since it was first invented. He worked with Tony to deliver the impossible at Microsoft, and helped Leopard Publishing Ventures edit, typeset and launch their first print titles. With an eye for design and a background in classical music, The Badger builds bridges between the arts and technology – including the code behind MagickGate and the integration with Axate.
