It was unrequited love. She was a large woman, and he had a thing about large women, but Lola wasn’t interested. “Don’t be silly, Phil. You’ll get over it!”
No matter how hard he protested, she would not take him seriously. She was quite happy to go drinking with him, or even out to the odd club, but all advances were rebuffed.
Phil spied his opportunity. Finally!
“I need your help,” he said. “I’m going to be a dame in a panto this Christmas.”
Lola’s generous frame shook with laughter. Suddenly she reached down and cupped him.
Phil squirmed and went red. It wasn’t that funny.
“Okay,” she said, looking at him rather too directly. “Come round Thursday evening.”
Phil certainly wasn’t expecting that, but he couldn’t wait for Thursday.
Lola had a huge walk in closet with racks of shiny boots glistening in the dimmed light. Phil wondered why she had so many when he’d never seen her wearing them before.
“Stand here,” she said. “Now strip down to your underwear.”
Phil was beside himself; he had made it into the citadel.
“Step forward and raise both arms against the cupboard.”
As he rested his hands on the cupboard, he could feel her moving behind. This was more like it and… what?
Suddenly he found his hands tied to the cupboard. He tried to pull against the straps, but to no avail.
The first lash of the whip cut across both his shoulders. He screamed.
“It’s soundproofed in here,” she said. “I do hope this is what you after.”

“As a man of your experience, Giorgio, have you ever had a date like that?”
“You can’t be serious? Where is the romance, the seduction? He didn’t even take her out for dinner.”
“He wasn’t to know what she did in her spare time.”
Giorgio grimaced.
“Isn’t it always better to get to know someone first?”
