Waterloo Sunset

“When the heart speaks, the mind finds it indecent to object.”

Milan Kundera

Italians always say London is grey. It is the common place, as we say, you English the cliché. And I thought the same till a certain lady friend took me for a little walk along the Embankment, just before the sun is setting. She tells me that a Frenchman came here to paint it. If a Frenchman comes here to paint the depressing view, there must be something innit. But what do you want? – We Londoners, and now for my sins, I consider myself a Londoner, always are looking down at our phones. Porca puttana, life is not in your phone, although often you may think, like me, everything I own is innit! Two stress – George says not stress, but reiterate, life is not in your phone. Sometimes you may think, like Miss Bliss, it is in a carpet bag. Once that’s gone, you can always snap the memories, just like those crazy Kinks. What does Robbie Williams say? Go outside. Look around. Life your life and paint.
